Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Information Communication Technology Forum (PVT) LTD (“ICTF”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit www.ictf.lk, use the ICTF Publications section, or sign in to the student, parent, staff or faculty portals. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, phone number, email address, school, grade and similar details when you register for classes, create an account, send a message through the contact form, or apply for a job (including the CV you upload).
- Account and learning records — for enrolled students: attendance, exam results, fees and course progress, which teachers and parents use within the portals.
- Payment information — online payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Usage information — pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.
How we use information
- To run classes, exams, results and the student and parent portals.
- To reply to enquiries and process job applications.
- To send account, class and payment notices by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To keep the site secure, fix problems and understand which content is useful.
- To show advertising that helps keep free resources such as past papers and lessons free.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language choice (English, Tamil or Sinhala), measure site performance, and — on public pages — to serve advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as signing in, will not work without them.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads on some public pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. Ads are not shown inside the logged-in portals or on exam pages.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the site, under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase — database, file storage and sign-in.
- Google — sign-in with Google, YouTube lesson videos, Google Drive past papers and AdSense.
- Stripe — online payments.
- Resend — transactional email.
- Vercel — hosting, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights (aggregate, cookie-free measurement).
We may also disclose information when required by Sri Lankan law or to protect our users.
Children and students
Many of our students are under 18. Registration for minors should be completed with a parent or guardian, who can view the student’s records through the parent portal. If you are a parent and believe a child has given us information without your consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention and security
We keep account and academic records for as long as a student is enrolled and for a reasonable period afterwards to issue results, certificates and references. Job applications are kept for up to 12 months. Data is stored with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access is limited by role.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to messages, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
Third-party links
The site links to other websites, such as YouTube and Google Drive. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. See also our Terms of Use.
